Tamarack

Our Tamarack program at Community Ventures Society is focused on helping the individuals we serve achieve their goals related to recreation and leisure as well as volunteer opportunities in the community. With each individual we serve, we conduct a thorough Individual Service Plan to identify specific goals and then develop plans to achieve them. This can include developing exercise and fitness programs, identifying leisure activities an individual may like to try like camping as well as finding volunteer opportunities in the community. Many of our individuals in the Tamarack program volunteer in animal shelters, local churches and help clean up in the community through the Adopt a Park and Adopt a Street initiatives.

In terms of AAC support, Alison works with the individuals we serve to provide communication systems such as Picture Symbols and Proloquo2go for electronic devices. She is on hand as a resource at CVS to ensure the individuals who are in the Tamarack program are set up for success.
